Extended Bio (200 words)

Since 2013, Conductor has been carving out their own space in the Midwest rock scene with a sound that refuses easy categorization. Founded by Katie Guill (vocals/guitar), the Columbia, MO-based four-piece blends punk rawness, metal intensity, and folk storytelling into something distinctly their own.

The current lineup—featuring long-time collaborator Nate Milburn on lead guitar, Jeromy Hafford on bass, and Parker Costello on drums—represents the band's most cohesive and powerful iteration. Over the past decade, Conductor has released four albums/EPs: their self-titled debut "Conductor," "Here Lie the Dead," "Opposition EP," and "Sleep, Soldier! EP." Most recently, they dropped three singles in 2024, and are currently preparing to record their first full-length album in January 2026.

Recorded primarily at Centro Cellar Studio in Columbia with producer Wil Reeves, Conductor's catalog ranges from apocalyptic fantasies ("Riders of Apocalypse") to journeys through hell (the title track "Conductor"), balanced with grounded social commentary and punk-inspired observations on everyday life. Their lyrics hit hard whether they're tackling real-world issues or crafting darkly humorous fictional scenarios.

With 70+ shows under their belt at venues like Rose Music Hall, PDM, Eastside Tavern, and festivals including Flotsam Farm and Dismal Niche, what started in Jefferson City house shows has grown into a band known for uncompromising artistic vision across Missouri and beyond.
